Hello,
Compared to the Belle Wampler, its a better match with my setup (title) because the drive goes further.
On both these pedals, the bass cut and the highs (color/spectrum) are applied before the drive. So, if you cut bass, you also reduce drive in some way.
On the belle I was short/max on drive. On the Nobels, I can just turn the drive knob a bit further :)
The consequence is that even with neck+middle+bridge (weak output) position, a nice overdriven sound can be reached with the Nobels, that could not be done with the Belle.

Thank you Thomann.

What a lot of possibilities!
Hans from Nederland 29.04.2025
This pedal can do a lot, but it helps if you understand how it functions, that's why I gave it "only" 4 stars.
"BASS CUT" knob fully CCW + "SPECTRUM" @ noon: flat frequency response ("transparent").
"SPECTRUM" above noon: pushes the highs an low mids: you get scooped mids like Fender blackpanel amps.
If you then cut the bass: you remove the low mid push and keep the pushed highs: goed in the direction of Marshall amps.
But reducing the "SPECTRUM" knob below noon: you are left with the not reduced mids, or said in another way: after compensating for the loss of level: you have a mid pushed sound, more like Fender tweed amps.

O, and I like the gain/distortion, from non-existend to more than enough (for me).

And because this pedal has reduced upper highs, you can use it for getting rid of harsh sounding distortion pedals by placing this after it.

So yes, for me this is more a last (gain) stage pedal. Often I even do not use its distortion by keeping the "DRIVE" knob fully CCW, just using it for its frequency response.

Nice tone!
BluesyG 11.05.2025
This pedal sounds like the tone I had in my head when I was listening to all the nashville cats playing a nobels odr1!
It is warm, dynamic and great for rock tones!
As a boost or light overdrive I don't prefer it, although usable.
The bass cut knob is very useful and works great!
My only gripes are, the switch does a loud click sound when engaged (not great for quiet stages) and also the knobs seem a bit flimsy and easy to turn.
Otherwise, very cool pedal! Would recommend!
