Excellent upgrade for S2 models for rock and blues

Great balance between bass and highs. Not muddy but with a thick PAF tone. Super crisp and respond to your touch perfectly. Can handle a lot of gain but not a metal pickup. Coil split is ok (Coil split will never sound like a single coil in any pickup but this one has a useful sound). I have tried them only on PRS guitar.

Best pickups

For me PRS 57/08 pickups are the best ever. I had and still have a lot of pickups from several famous brands. However when I first tried 57/08 I was pleasantly surprised. So much articulation but also gainy, throaty and full with a lot of harmonics. Pickups with soul. Although they are alnico 2 pickups they are not very low output. They are in a such sweet spot that you can use both for blues and metal in success. Bass pickup (neck) is sounding a bit more rounder and cello like (tubular) compared to treble (bridge) pickup. Still pwerfull though .The best neck pickup for me.

Micros classiques des Prs single cut Usa. Je les ai achetés pour remplacer mes micros tremonti trop violent à mon gout. Ceux ci gardent une puissance et netteté remarquable sans la teinte "metal" des tremonti. Encore meilleur que les micros des Gibson les Paul custom. Tout simplement parfait.

Einziger Nachteil ist der Preis...aber Qualität hat seinen...
